Text Box: Welcome to the Vocal-ease Homepage, featuring Vocal-ease and The Boogie Men, a Bay Area (California) band that entertains fans with a variety of musical styles ranging from Ragtime and Swing to Big Band and Boogie Woogie, classic Rock ‘n Roll. Doo-Wop, and Motown.
The Big Band Era was a bit before our time, so you might wonder how we came to be playing nostalgic swing and boogie-woogie music.  It began in 1988 when Vocal-ease, we three women, put an impromptu band together and performed a few Andrews Sisters songs for a 40-year reunion of Camp Stoneman, a World War II military base.  The concert went over so well, that we decided to expand our repertoire, which includes songs like “Sentimental Journey”, “Jump, Jive ‘n Wail”, “Chatanooga Choo-Choo“ and “Something’s Gotta Give”.  We also do music from the 1950s and ‘60s.
We love this music because it has clever lyrics, sweet melodies and harmonies, intricate musical arrangements, and it isn’t weighed down by heavy social messages.  It’s simply great music, and you won’t have anxiety over your kids hearing it...it’s family friendly.
